Who is a Nurse?
A nurse is a health care professional who is engaged in the practice of nursing. Like other healthcare professionals, nurses are responsible for the treatment, safety and recovery of acutely or chronically ill or injured people, health maintenance of the healthy, and treatment of life-threatening emergencies in a wide range of health care settings.

PURPOSE OF TRAINING:
—-To prepare Nurses to practice comprehensive nursing care in hospital as well as in the community by means of a planned education programme
—-To provide a base for advanced study and specialization in nursing which will assist Nurses in their personal and professional development so that they make their maximum contribution to society as individuals, citizens and Nurses
ADMISSION REQUISITES :
1. Entry Qualification: The applicants must have passed both SSC & HSC or equivalent Examinations from nay groups preferably Science from any board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or any other board of Bangladesh. The applicants must have GPA not less than 2.5 in HSC examination.
(i) The Candidates will apply within 3 (three) years of passing HSC or equivalent Examination.
(ii) Medical Examination (physical & mental) fitness will be essential before admission.
(iii) Student will be single.
(Hi) Age should be 17 Years old according to original birth certificate, special affidavit for age certification will not be accepted;
(iv) Admission of students shall be once in a Year.
v) Application should be submitted to the Principal of TMMC Nursing Institute of Nursing with:
Photocopy of SSC & HSC certificate, Photocopy of marks obtained in the above said examination, Photocopy of higher qualification certificate, if any, One copy of recent passport size photograph (to be pasted in the form.), Character Certificate.
2. Admission procedure: It will be formulated and conducted by the concerned authority as laid down in the curriculum.
3. Degree awarded: Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery. Certificate will be provided by the BNC (Bangladesh Nursing council).
4. On the successful completion of the degree, the student is required to take the BNC comprehensive examination for getting certificate and licensing as a registered nurse.
Our Campus
The present campus of the college is located, 9 KM from The Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, at Konia of Gazipur City ( near Boardbazar ), the medical college, including the hospital, stands on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway-just outside the capital city.
The administrative offices and academic departments are housed in a campus surrounded by a picturesque lush green environment of the area.
The buildings are well furnished and suitably equipped to accommodate classrooms, seminars, dissection hall, laboratories, museum, library, students’ common rooms and snack shop.
